Lovina is a collection of fishing villages, so taking a fishing trip
is a great way to experience real local life. The trips are done in a
traditional wooden fishing boat or
jukung. Morning and
afternoon trips are available depending on the fish you want to try
and catch, or if there is no hope of you getting up at the crack of
dawn.
The morning trip starts from 5:00 am and goes through to 11:00 am.
Tuna and
mahi-mahi can be caught around this time. The trip costs
400,000 rupiah, per group. The afternoon trip starts at 4:00 pm and
goes until 8:00 pm. Snapper is what you are trying to catch in the
late afternoon and the trip per group is priced at 300,000 rupiah.
Fishing is the activity of hunting for fish. It is done both for a food source and as a sport.
